We are excited to share our new Turkey Trot t-shirt design and new way of ordering! All orders will need to be placed online at https://hollingersisland.calagazapparel.com. Please do not send money or orders to the school. All orders are due by October 31st and shirts will be delivered to the school during the week of November 14th.



Come join us for Parenting Day on Monday, October 20th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for parenting workshops on Reading, Math, and Internet Safety. There will be a picnic lunch starting at 12:00 pm. Bring your own lunch and blanket for the picnic lunch. Sign in through the office.

Help Hollinger’s Island support “The Berry Strong Foundation”. A local foundation that supports families with children who are suffering with childhood cancers.
This Friday, September 19th, HIES students will be able to wear a YELLOW T-shirt and jeans for a $3 donation.
Proceeds go directly towards research that is dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancers, raising awareness, and helping our local cancer families.
Please help our school show support by participating in this event! Thank you!


Mark your calendars! We will have a HIES SPIRIT Night on Wednesday, September 24 from 5 pm -9 pm at Moe's Southwest Grill in Tillman's Corner. Mention Hollinger's Island when you order and a portion of all proceeds will go to our school!

PreK students are having fun learning in centers and Kindergarteners are FALLing for math by working with numbers to 10.











Our first Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting will be held this Friday, September 5, 2025 after school beginning at 3:30 in the cafeteria. All parents and guardians of enrolled students are welcome to attend PAC meetings. The PAC is a group of parent representatives who work collaboratively with school administration, teachers, and staff to support student achievement, improve school climate, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. The committee provides input, feedback, and support on key school initiatives, policies, and events.

There will be no school on Monday, September 1, 2025 in honor of Labor Day. Enjoy the three day weekend and we will see all our students back on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
